Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide a significant upgrade in ride quality and wheel travel without compromising load capacity. These progressive multileaf packs are manufactured using high-grade American steel, specifically shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities. This process compresses the steel surface, increasing tensile strength and extending the service life of the spring under heavy use.
Unlike standard designs that use binding "C" style bend clips, Skyjacker utilizes bolt-style spring clips to eliminate friction and allow for smoother movement. Each leaf is tapered along its entire length to distribute loads evenly and prevent individual leaves from digging into one another, resulting in superior flex and a more compliant ride.
