The Torque Solution Brake Master Cylinder Brace (TS-SU-392) is designed to solve a common weakness in the Subaru braking system: firewall flex. During aggressive or panic braking, the force applied to the brake pedal causes the firewall to deflect, leading to a spongy or inconsistent pedal feel. This brace creates a rigid link between the master cylinder and the shock tower, effectively bracing the cylinder against the chassis.
By preventing this movement, the Torque Solution brace ensures that more of your foot's effort is translated into hydraulic pressure at the calipers, providing a firmer, more communicative pedal and improved modulation under load.
