Vibrant Performance 321 Stainless Steel straight tubing is engineered for extreme-heat environments where standard 304 stainless might fail. This 18-gauge tubing is specifically recommended for forced induction applications, such as turbo manifolds and downpipes, where components must withstand prolonged, elevated operating temperatures between 800°F and 1500°F (427°C to 816°C).
The addition of titanium in the 321 alloy provides superior stabilization against chromium carbide precipitation. This results in significantly better resistance to intergranular corrosion, tensile stress, and stress fractures compared to 304 stainless steel in high-performance exhaust environments.
