The Wilwood Forged Narrow Dynalite (FNDL) caliper, manufacturer part number 120-11576, is engineered for demanding competition environments including late models, modifieds, sprint cars, and road racing. Developed using advanced computer-generated stress analysis, this forged aluminum caliper provides superior bridge strength and rigidity compared to standard NDL models.
This caliper is a direct replacement for previous Wilwood NDL units and competitive brands utilizing 3.50-inch centered mounting tabs. It features a five-bolt bridge construction that significantly reduces deflection under load and ensures secure retention of top-loaded 7816 or 7216 type brake pads. The design allows for quick pad changes without removing the caliper, compatible with the full range of PolyMatrix compounds to suit specific thermal and friction requirements.
