The Wilwood High Volume Tandem Master Cylinder (260-8556-P) provides a high-performance alternative to heavy cast iron OE units. Designed primarily for power brake applications using vacuum or hydraulic assist, this 1-1/8-inch bore master cylinder is machined from high-pressure die castings. At just 3 lbs, it delivers a 75% weight reduction over typical cast iron cylinders while maintaining superior structural integrity.
Engineered for versatility, this unit features a 1.10-inch stroke and a 2:1 volume ratio between the primary and secondary chambers. The universal mounting flange is slotted to accommodate 3.22-inch to 3.40-inch bolt spreads, a standard measurement for most domestic cars and trucks from the mid-1960s through the present. Dual fluid outlet ports on both sides of the bore offer flexible plumbing options for custom or restricted engine bays.
