The 17-row core is 17" long, 7.5" tall, and 2.5" thick with a 1.95-quart capacity for effective cooling on any high-performance application. This fluid cooler features turbulated fins to evenly circulate fluid within the cooler and make the most of the full core. Large -16AN ports ensure ample flow for even the most demanding engines. The durable cast-aluminum end tanks are precision TIG welded to the bar-and-plate core for a fluid cooler that can endure the stresses of racing or everyday driving. The end tanks feature eight M8 flush mounting points with steel threaded inserts for a secure connection to any custom bracket, while the same-side inlet and outlet make routing lines simple. The available silver or black powder coat protects this cooler against the elements and complements any design. Mishimoto continues to develop new products aimed at simplifying the vehicle modification process. This oil filter spacer is designed with dual use in mind. First, it's perfect for providing clearance for oil cooler sandwich plates on engines with recessed or inaccessible oil filter landings. This spacer provides 1.25" of additional clearance, making it ideal for clearing obstructions when adding an oil sandwich plate. As an additional use, this oil filter spacer incorporates two pressurized ports for probes, sensors, sending units, or pressurized oil feeds. Need to add an oil pressure gauge? This spacer will make it easy. Installing a turbocharger and need an easy oil feed solution? Problem solved. As with all our products, the highest quality materials have been used to create an extremely durable product. This includes a billet 6061 CNC-machined aluminum spacer, a stainless-steel oil filter center bolt, and a precision-designed nitrile O-ring to ensure a leak-free seal. We've also included laser etching within the spacer indicating the appropriate mounting direction to simplify the installation process. Keep your 2021+ BMW M2/M3/M4 cool and collected with the Mishimoto 2021+ BMW M2/M3/M4 performance oil cooler. Much like their predecessors, the G8X M2, M3, and M4 were designed with efficiency in mind. This can be a double-edged sword, as the optimally arranged engine bay has components placed in precarious positions. Most notably, the oil cooler is placed on the undercarriage, parallel to the road's surface. This placement increases air flow and uses aerodynamics to pull air through the core, but it also makes the stock cooler vulnerable to scrapes, bumps, and other road hazards. --With this in mind, the engineers at Mishimoto set out to design a robust G8X oil cooler to keep your M3 or M4 running cool on and off the track. We started by swapping the stock tube-and-fin cooler for a bar-and-plate with CNC-machined end tanks. Our cooler boasts a 35.7-percent thicker core and a 41-percent increase in core volume for superior cooling efficiency. "Turbocharged, high stress 4 cylinder engines like the 2.0L EcoBoost engine in the Focus ST can overheat their oil very quickly within a few laps on the track or aggressive street driving. Even with the stock liquid-liquid head exchanger, the engine can still run very hot and run the risk of overheating the engine's coolant as well. Aggressive tunes and some track miles can significantly overheat your oil wear down your engine. Leave it to Mishimoto to come up with an oil cooling solution to your Focus ST! The Mishimoto engineers started with a large 19-row oil cooler and mounted it in the front of the vehicle where it receives the most airflow. The oil cooler was mounted on the passenger side as to not interfere with some aftermarket air intake systems. Application specific braided stainless steel lines transfer the oil from the cooler to the engine and feature -10AN fittings for an easy installation. Mishimoto engineers saw consistent temperature decreases of over 30 F (16.7 C) using our non-thermostatic sandwich plate. The 2006-2010 BMW E60 M5 combines the spacious practicality of a four-door sedan with a naturally aspirated V10 powerplant producing a hypnotic soundtrack of intake/exhaust noise. But after over a decade of use, some of the E60's components have begun to show their age. The factory engine oil cooler is a common leak point on the E60, typically from failed O-rings or cracked weld points. In addition, the location of the front-mounted cooler increases the chance of damage from road debris and general clogging of external fins, resulting in reduced cooling efficiency. That, combined with the high-strung engine and hefty chassis, means oil temperatures tend to rise during aggressive driving. That's why our engineering team set out to remedy both issues with this performance oil cooler. Drawing on our vast experience with BMW's and the latest in engineering tools, our team was able to create a direct-fit replacement oil cooler with substantial improvements in both durability and cooling efficiency. The Mishimoto Performance Oil Cooler features a robust bar-and-plate core, which provides improved durability and aids in heat rejection. Our core utilizes a strategic fin design which provides a 41-percent increase in external fin surface area and a 30-percent increase in internal fin surface area to help draw heat out of the oil and dissipate it into the air. Our oil cooler features CNC-machined inlet/outlet ports and includes new OEM O-rings for a seamless and leak-free installation. This cooler is finished in a silver powder coat, ensuring long term durability and corrosion resistance. And, as with all our BMW performance products, this oil cooler includes our signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
