Enter the new CSF S54 Swap Race Spec Oil Cooler. This new oil cooler is shorter on the right hand side allowing owners to run the A/C lines in the OEM path. Even though the #8240 is slightly smaller than the #8032, you can expect similar performance levels as they both feature a dual pass design with 8 cooling rows and are the same turbulated heavy-duty bar/plate construction. Both oil coolers utilize the S54 OEM oil line connections. However, CSF will be offering a fitting kit with -10 AN hookups for customers looking to run custom oil lines. This fitting kit should be available by the second quarter of 2023.

CSF worked closely with its strategic manufacturing partner PWR and Local R&D Partner Studio RSR on the development of the "Level-Up" Charge-Air-Cooler Manifold. The relationship with PWR offers CSF access to exclusive cutting edge Formula 1 grade technology, while Studio RSR offers expertise in real world race experience and hands-on mechanical knowledge of the S58 platform. The manifold is made from the highest grade billet aluminum. Each part is CNC machined with the highest precision and TIG welded to form a single piece charge-air-cooler intake manifold. The CSF manifold is capable of achieving the highest levels of performance and withstanding extreme boost levels. The ultra high performance liquid-to-air F1 grade core is made by PWR. This Bar & Plate core is pressure tested to 120 psi to ensure it will withstand the high boost levels motorsports race teams can throw at it. Feedback from the community has shown the OEM core (crimped onto plastic end tanks) is prone to failure starting at just 27 pounds (psi) of boost pressure.

When designing this new cooler, CSF wanted to ensure the best possible performance while ensuring the cooler was as durable as possible. As you've seen, oil coolers and other heat exchangers can take quite a beating over time. CSF utilizes an extremely rugged and durable Bar/Plate design which can stand up to far more abuse. The "Aero-Flow" Bar design reduces weight compared to other Bar/Plate designs while maintaining maximum strength and air-flow. These "Aero-Flow" bars improve heat dissipation with high density turbulated multi-louvered fins. Turbulation increases the turbulent flow through a tube, effectively increasing heat exchange rates and abilities. At around 50% larger in size, the CSF Oil Cooler increases both fluid capacity and core surface area. CSF designed and engineered the 992 Carrera intercooler to be a true Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" unit. Utilizing all factory mounting points, the installation is straightforward and requires no modifications. The most important feature of the CSF by PWR 992 Carrera Intercooler System is the Formula-1 grade intercooler cores. CSF's strategic relationship with PWR has allowed the inclusion of these cores, which is unlike any other available in the performance aftermarket. These cores are the same style used in other CSF air-to-air systems previously developed for the 992 Turbo/S and 991 GT2RS with incredible results. The PWR cores eliminate heat soak and lower Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin designs. The CSF Heat Exchanger features a 2-Row (vs OEM single row) Core that is 42mm thick with CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology. Increasing the size of the core and end tanks adds to the overall volume of the system which helps absorb more heat. The more efficient core not only helps dissipate more heat from the system, but also provides better airflow into the radiator that sits behind the heat exchanger. For vehicles equipped with the ZF8 Automatic Transmission, the heat exchanger core specifications were design concurrently with CSF's new Race-Spec Dual Core Transmission Oil Cooler (CSF #8221). The two included Black Rock Guards offer full protection for the heat exchanger (above and below the crash bar), especially when paired with aftermarket "open face" race style grilles. These grilles have become quite popular for performance and aesthetics, and keeping your heat exchanger safe from debris is very important. The McLaren M838TE engine is a marvel of modern engineering. These twin-turbo V8s are capable of massive amounts of horsepower for their size. One of the limiting factors is the amount of heat that can be removed from the charge-air system. For this, the limiting factor is the original front mount heat exchangers. The goal in upgrading this system is to lower intake air temperatures (IATs) at higher boost levels and offer faster recovery from inevitable heat soak. The CSF engineering team worked hard to design the most efficient heat exchangers possible that fit into the factory housing pods.

The intercooler cores are spec'd out by CSF and custom built by PWR. Featuring two rows of rolled cooling tubes with inner fins, these cores make for the most efficient intercoolers available. Because of this, they are able to eliminate heat soak and lower IATs much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin designs. This gives us maximum performance for extended periods of time under demanding driving conditions and for vehicles with increased power levels through modifications and tuning.

The Ferrari 488/Pista/F8 Intercoolers were carefully designed and engineered to fit exactly like the OEM units they replace. The installation uses all the factory mounting points, shrouds, and fans for a true "drop-in fitment". No cutting or other modifications are required. CSF pre-installs a high density foam to seal the area around the intercoolers just like the factory units. One of the challenges of designing a true drop-in system is the size limitations. While most aftermarket intercoolers achieve a good percentage of their improved efficiency with increased size, the CSF by PWR Intercoolers rely on an ultra efficient core. PWR manufactures and uses these same cores on the intercoolers it supplies for the majority of Formula-1 race teams.

The unique design of CSF's oil cooler line has distinct advantages over conventional style oil coolers (plate-type/stacked oil coolers). The oil coolers can be placed in tighter spaces or different areas of the vehicle that don't have much vertical surface area. Longer rectangular sizes can also help with avoiding the stacking of too many coolers which may cause airflow issues to other components in the cooling system. Inlet/outlet port placement is much easier to route oil lines. Typical oil cooler lines have to be routed from different/opposite ends of the cooler often facing up or down. Usually one line has to run across from one side of the cooler to the other to then be routed together to the feed/return connection of the oil system. The CSF oil coolers are much more robust, durable, and can withstand a higher peak burst rate. This allows the cooler to be mounted in areas that might get high debris (front fascia, diff cooler, side vents, etc...). The CSF oil cooler is designed to withstand a tremendous amount of vibration and debris.

The CSF B58 Thermal Rejection Competition Spacer is the next level upgrade for the B58 Super Manifold (CSF #8200). Made from KIYLEX, a patented revolutionary high-performance final stage polymer. KIYLEX is as strong as aluminum and can withstand temperatures up to 1100'F. This spacer is designed to insulate the intake manifold from conductive heat transfer from the cylinder head. This thermal barrier reduces manifold temperatures which helps lower Intake Air Temperatures (IATs), improve charge air cooler efficiency, and combats heat soak. The newer 2nd gen B58 engine, found in the Mk5 Supra, has already been proven to be an incredible platform for performance enthusiasts - taking the performance and motorsports industry by storm in just a couple of years since its release. Customers are now pushing through the 1000whp mark on their B58 powered vehicles with the CSF manifold. The OEM water-cooled charge air cooler intake manifold for the B58 engine is adequate in cars with little or no modifications, but starts to really show its weakness in cars with bolt-on mods, turbo upgrades, increased fueling (such as port injection), and performance tuning. The OEM intercooler system has also been known to suffer from heat soak in demanding racing conditions such as time attack, endurance racing, drag racing, drifting, and even spirited street driving. This can cause the car to pull timing out of the engine due to high intake air temperatures (IATs), and can cause "limp mode" once temperatures reach a certain threshold, as the vehicle's ECU attempts to protect the engine.
- The CSF manifold is not designed to operate above 60 PSI. Users who chose to operate their vehicle with the CSF manifold over 60 PSI does so at their own risk. Operation at these pressure levels will void the CSF Limited Warranty.

The High-Performance All-Aluminum Auxiliary Radiators work in conjunction with the rest of the cooling system to reduce temperatures throughout. This is critical as the Auxiliary Radiators not only help keep engine water temperatures lower, but also are utilized as the heat exchange medium in the air-to-water charge-air coolers for the turbocharger system to reduce intake air temperatures (IATs). Overall, the Auxiliary Radiators larger capacity prolongs the heat soak threshold and assists in keeping temperatures in optimal ranges. The included, detachable rock guard offers protection against the build-up of debris, as well as possible core punctures - unlike the OEM auxiliary radiators, which have little protection against the elements. CSF recommends purchasing two Auxiliary Radiators to replace both left and right OEM units (for vehicles with two from the factory). For maximum cooling performance, we advise installing in conjunction with the Front Mount Heat Exchanger (CSF #8197).

The most important feature of the CSF by PWR RS6/RS7 Intercooler System is the Formula-1 grade intercooler core. CSF's strategic relationship with PWR has allowed the inclusion of this core, which is unlike any other available in the performance aftermarket. Featuring two rows of rolled cooling tubes with inner fins, these cores make for the most efficient intercoolers available. Because of this, they are able to eliminate heat soak and lower IATs much more efficiently than traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin designs. This gives us maximum performance for extended periods of time under demanding driving conditions and for vehicles with increased power levels through modifications and tuning. As with our other products produced through our PWR partnership, our new RS6/RS7 Intercoolers feature 100% TIG-welded machined billet aluminum end tanks vs. the OEM crimped cast aluminum end tanks. This feature is not only aesthetically pleasing, but is also stronger for longevity and durability on high-performance vehicles. Don't be fooled by other high-performance aftermarket options that utilize the OEM plastic rock guard. The OEM rock guard's vertical channel design is specifically designed to only work with the tube spacing found on the OEM core. When the OEM rock guard is installed on an aftermarket radiator, it actually blocks a significant amount of surface area. Obviously this is detrimental to the intended performance. During CSF's own R&D phase, CSF analyzed both the OEM and other aftermarket offerings and decided to go the extra mile. CSF redesigned the included rock guard to allow maximum flow to the radiator core, while still offering ample protection from small rocks and road debris - all proven on CSF's in-house wind tunnel. CSF's new Auxiliary Radiator fits both the left and right side of the vehicle as a drop-in fit. Thus requiring no modifications to install. CSF's B58 high-performance heat exchanger will be a critical component to keeping your Supra/BMW's charge air cool, and out of limp mode. The upgraded heat exchanger is especially important when upgrading turbos and/or running performance tuning software. The original 2nd Gen B58 heat exchanger is a 1-row unit that is 25mm thick. In comparison, CSF has used its industry-exclusive world's largest 2-row core (68mm) with CSF's B-Tube technology. A unique tank design allows the larger CSF core to still fit into the OEM cooling system housing. The CSF improved design, includes billet transmission cooler mounts, and metal rock guard with improved airflow characteristics. CSF has over 5 decades of experience manufacturing radiators. So when it comes to keeping your engine cool and your A3/S3 running at its best, a CSF High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator is the obvious choice. Designed to perform on the street or at the track, a performance radiator is a must-have for both high horsepower builds as well as race vehicles which need added cooling performance in motorsports environments. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow". CSF also uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.

The original OEM B58 heat exchanger is a 1-row unit that is 27mm thick. In comparison, CSF has used its industry-exclusive world's largest 2-row core (68mm) with CSF's B-Tube technology. A unique tank design allows the larger CSF core to still fit into the OEM cooling system housing. Another critical feature of the CSF BMW B58 high-performance heat exchanger is its unique triple-pass flow design. The water traveling through the upgraded heat exchanger flows through the radiator three times before exiting the cooler and flowing back into the manifold charge cooler. This ensures that the outlet water temperature of the heat exchanger is the absolute lowest it can be. The OEM design, as well as more expensive aftermarket designs, all have single-pass flow structures.
