The CSF x Rogue oil cooler uses a Bar & Plate construction (vs. tube and fin) in a top/bottom configuration. The Bar & Plate design makes the cooler much more robust and able to take abuse from debris hitting it at high speeds on the road or track. The cooler uses extruded end tanks which means it is a much stronger design than simple bent aluminum sheet construction found on the oem unit. The cooler is a bolt on design for the factory radiator or the CSF High-Performance Radiators (E46 M3 - CSF #7058 / E39 M5 - #7064) and uses the factory oil cooler lines.

CSF has over 5 decades of experience manufacturing radiators. So when it comes to keeping your engine cool and your CTS-V running at its best, a CSF High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator is the obvious choice. Designed to perform on the street or at the track, a performance radiator is a must-have for both high horsepower builds as well as race vehicles which need added cooling performance in motorsports environments. This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow". CSF also uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.

Engine oil temperatures are a big concern to anyone who tracks their vehicle or pushes it hard on hot days. The original OE radiator from Porsche is a plastic tank radiator with a single row aluminum core design. While this is generally accepted as good quality and durable, it just isn't enough for the Cayenne. The 955/957 is notorious for having cooling issues. Just driving down the road on a hot day can overheat the engine and off-roading and towing/hauling is much harder on the cooling system. On top of that, these SUVs are 15-20 years old now. The factory radiator for the E60 M5 and E6X M6 are pretty nice all aluminum units. While they have proven to be fairly robust, age and additional power tend to push them over the edge. Owners who have superchargers tend to have the most issues with their radiators.
