This Fidanza aluminum flywheel (MPN 161071) is engineered to reduce rotating mass, significantly lowering the moment of inertia for faster throttle response and improved acceleration. By reducing weight by 40% to 60% compared to factory dual-mass or heavy steel units, this flywheel frees up horsepower without compromising daily drivability.
Constructed from high-tensile 6061 T6 or 2024 T3 aluminum, the flywheel features a heat-treated, bolt-on replaceable 1050 steel friction plate. This design allows for easier servicing—when the friction surface wears, you can replace the plate rather than the entire flywheel. The assembly is secured with military-spec fasteners for maximum reliability under high-RPM conditions.
