Cam Seals

A cam seal, also known as a camshaft seal, is a critical gasket that fits at the end of the camshaft(s) to prevent engine oil from leaking out of the cylinder head. Whether you have a single or dual overhead cam engine, these seals maintain proper oil containment and pressure.

Common signs of a failing cam seal include visible oil leaks near the camshaft sprocket, oil consumption, and oil contamination on the timing belt—which can lead to premature belt failure. Replacing a worn cam seal promptly protects expensive engine components and avoids costly repairs.

  • Precision-molded for exact fitment
  • Constructed from oil-resistant, high-temperature materials
  • Essential for preventing timing belt contamination
  • Available for a wide range of domestic and import vehicles

When selecting a cam seal, always verify compatibility with your engine's make, model, and year. Many seals are specific to the camshaft location (intake/exhaust) or engine side (left/right). Proper installation with the correct driver tool ensures a leak-free seal and long service life.
