Sinister Diesel has re-engineered the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler for the 6.0L Powerstroke to address the critical failure points of the factory unit. While the original Ford cooler relies on thin internal cooling fins and brazed connections that often crack and allow coolant to enter the intake manifold, this upgraded unit utilizes high-flow stainless steel tubing. Each cooler is precision TIG-welded and pressure-tested to ensure long-term reliability and prevent the catastrophic engine damage, such as hydro-locking or blown head gaskets, caused by OE cooler failure.

This cooler is a direct, drop-in replacement that installs in the factory location. The design allows for installation without removing the intake manifold, significantly reducing labor time. Finished in a durable Sinister Blue Cerakote, this unit is 50-state legal under CARB EO# D-721 and works flawlessly with the stock ECM or any aftermarket performance tuner.

The aFe Power BladeRunner EGR cooler addresses common failure points in the factory cooling system. Built for durability in high-heat diesel environments, this cooler is constructed entirely from new stainless steel components. While many factory units utilize brazed joints that are prone to thermal cracking, all connections on the BladeRunner are TIG-welded to ensure maximum structural integrity and long-term reliability under pressure.
