Radiator Caps

The radiator cap is a small but critical component of your vehicle's cooling system. It maintains system pressure to raise the boiling point of the coolant, preventing overheating and allowing the engine to run at optimal temperatures. When the pressure exceeds the cap's rating, the valve opens to vent coolant into the overflow reservoir; as the system cools, a vacuum valve allows coolant to be drawn back in.

When selecting a replacement cap, it's essential to match the pressure rating stamped on your original cap or specified by the manufacturer. Common ratings range from ~10 psi (0.7 bar) to ~20 psi (1.4 bar). Using a cap with the wrong pressure can lead to cooling system failures. Our collection includes caps in various pressure ratings, materials, and designs to suit a wide range of vehicles.
