The ACT SB13-HDSS kit is a premium drivetrain upgrade engineered for drivers who require increased torque capacity without sacrificing the smooth engagement of a daily-driven vehicle. This kit combines ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate with their most popular Performance Street sprung-hub disc, balancing a firm pedal feel with excellent street driveability.
The Heavy Duty pressure plate utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load and reduce deflection. Each diaphragm undergoes a specialized four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance and longevity. The assembly is housed in a precision-stamped cover, providing the rigidity necessary for high-performance use. The Performance Street disc features premium organic friction materials with high copper content for improved heat transfer and steel-backed linings for superior burst strength. A reduced marcel design facilitates faster shift action to complement the increased clamp load.
