The ACT HC12-HDSS Heavy Duty Performance Street clutch kit is engineered for drivers seeking increased torque capacity and improved shift response without sacrificing street drivability. This kit combines ACT’s most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate with a Performance Street sprung-hub disc to deliver a balanced upgrade for high-performance K20C1-powered vehicles.
The Heavy Duty pressure plate utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load and reduce deflection. Each diaphragm undergoes a rigorous four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent pedal feel and long-term durability. Precision-stamped covers provide the rigidity needed for reliable high-RPM engagement.
The included Performance Street disc is constructed with premium organic friction materials featuring high copper content for superior heat dissipation. Steel-backed linings increase burst strength, while reduced marcel enables faster gear changes. The sprung-hub design helps dampen torsional vibrations, protecting the drivetrain while maintaining smooth engagement.
