The ACT HC12-HDG6 Heavy Duty Race clutch kit is engineered for 2017-2026 Honda Civic Type R and 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S models. This kit features ACT's Heavy Duty pressure plate, which utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms undergo a four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance and durability under high-stress racing conditions.
The included 6-pad, spring-centered race disc is designed for fast shifting and superior heat absorption. The spring-center properly damps torsional vibrations to protect the drivetrain, while the wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings provide increased strength and reliability. Note that while this configuration allows for faster shifts and manages heat better in larger clutch sizes, the engagement is significantly harsher than factory components.
