The ACT NX9-XTG6 Xtreme/Race clutch kit is engineered for high-performance and track-oriented applications where shifting speed and torque capacity are paramount. At the heart of this kit is the ACT Xtreme pressure plate, which utilizes an exclusive diaphragm design to significantly increase clamp load while reducing deflection. Every diaphragm undergoes a specialized four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance and maximum clutch life.

The included 6-pad spring-centered race disc is designed for larger clutch sizes to better manage and absorb heat. The spring-center construction effectively damps torsional vibrations, while ACT's wraparound spring windows and heavy-duty retainer stampings provide critical support under harsh conditions. While engagement is noticeably harsher than a street-spec kit, it allows for the rapid gear changes required in competitive environments.
