The ACT PBNA004 Pilot Bushing is a critical component for maintaining proper drivetrain alignment and protecting your transmission. This bushing is designed to support the end of the transmission input shaft, seating into the end of the crankshaft or the center of the flywheel depending on the vehicle's configuration. A fresh pilot bushing ensures the input shaft remains centered, preventing excessive vibration and premature wear on the clutch and transmission internals.
Manufactured to precise tolerances, this replacement bushing is an essential "while-you're-in-there" part for any clutch service or engine rebuild. It provides the necessary support for the input shaft to spin independently of the crankshaft when the clutch is disengaged.
