Fits 2002-2008 Mini Cooper S models. This ACT BM2-HDSS clutch kit combines the Heavy Duty pressure plate with a Performance Street sprung disc to provide increased torque capacity and improved shift response for the R53 and R52 chassis.
The ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate utilizes a proprietary diaphragm design that increases clamp load while reducing deflection to maximize clutch life. Every diaphragm undergoes a specialized four-stage heat-treating process to ensure consistent performance under high-stress conditions. Precision cover stampings provide the necessary rigidity for repeatable engagement and disengagement.
The Performance Street disc is engineered with premium organic friction materials featuring high copper content for superior heat transfer. Steel-backed linings increase burst strength and overall durability. Designed with reduced marcel, this disc enables faster shift action to complement the high-clamp pressure plate.
