The AEM 21-853C Performance Air Intake System is engineered to reduce intake restriction by replacing the factory air box and intake tract. This system features a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish, ensuring smooth, laminar airflow to the engine. To help manage intake temperatures, a custom-shaped heat shield with edge trim lining is included to isolate the air filter from radiant engine bay heat.

At the heart of this system is the cone-shaped AEM Dryflow air filter. This oil-free, synthetic filter media provides high-efficiency filtration and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required, depending on driving conditions. Because the media is synthetic and oil-free, there is no risk of over-oiling a MAF sensor during maintenance.
