The AEM 30-4008 Stainless Steel Tall Finned Wideband UEGO Sensor Bung Install Kit is engineered for high-heat environments, particularly forced induction applications. While compatible with any wideband oxygen sensor and AEM UEGO AFR controller, this bung was specifically developed to manage the thermal loads associated with the AEM 4-Channel Wideband UEGO Controller system.
The tall profile serves a dual purpose: it draws the sensor body away from the direct exhaust stream to prevent overheating and minimizes the protrusion of the sensor tip into the exhaust path. This design reduces flow restriction, which is critical in high-performance manifold applications. The integrated external fins provide additional surface area to dissipate heat, extending the service life of sensitive wideband sensors in turbocharged or supercharged setups.
