The aFe POWER Momentum GT cold air intake system is engineered to provide maximum airflow and performance for the MQB Evo platform. At the heart of this system is the Pro 5R air filter, a 7-1/2 inch tall, 360-degree radial flow filter featuring five layers of progressively finer pre-oiled cotton gauze media. This design ensures high filtration efficiency while delivering the maximum volume of high-velocity air required for increased horsepower and torque.

The system features a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube made from heat-resistant XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) to minimize heat soak and maintain a perfect fit. The sealed XLPE housing incorporates a patent-pending filter-to-housing interface, which reduces the number of components for a simplified installation. A built-in clear sight window allows for quick filter inspections without disassembling the intake. The housing utilizes factory air inlets and mounting locations, and includes an optional auxiliary air inlet for additional airflow when needed.
