The aFe Power MagnumFORCE Stage 1 cold air intake system is engineered to provide maximum airflow and performance for your E39 5-Series. This system replaces the restrictive factory air box with a massive 360-degree conical Pro 5R air filter, protected by a durable 16-gauge black powder-coated heat shield. By drawing in cooler, denser air and utilizing a billet 3-angle adapter to increase air velocity into the MAF sensor tube, this intake delivers measurable gains in horsepower and torque.
The included Pro 5R filter features five layers of progressively finer medical-grade cotton gauze media for maximum flow and filtration. Constructed with 100% polyurethane on all sides, the filter is designed for a long service life and can withstand multiple cleaning cycles. This direct bolt-on kit requires no cutting or drilling, mounting securely to factory locations with all necessary hardware included.
