The aFe Momentum Black Series Carbon Fiber Air Intake System is engineered to optimize airflow for the S63 twin-turbo engine while providing a premium aesthetic and simplified maintenance. This system features twin 7-inch tall, 360-degree radial flow air filters specifically designed to be installed through the M5's factory strut braces, maximizing filter surface area while ensuring an easy installation. The filters utilize Pro 5R media, consisting of five layers of pre-oiled, progressively finer cotton gauze for maximum flow and performance on both the street and track.
The filters are encased in heat-resistant XLPE polymer housings topped with 100% twill weave carbon fiber covers, secured by premium aFe POWER branded hardware. Lightweight, high-gloss carbon fiber intake tubes direct smoothed, filtered air to the turbos. This system is computer-designed and dyno-tuned to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect factory-style fit using original mounting points.
