The aFe Power Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake system (MPN 52-10003R) replaces the restrictive factory upper intake box to significantly improve airflow while maintaining a simple, hassle-free installation. This system utilizes a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube crafted from heat-resistant XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) to maximize power gains and resist heat soak under the hood.
At the heart of this system is the Pro 5R air filter, featuring five layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze media. Its progressive layering provides maximum performance and high flow rates even when dirty, making it an ideal choice for both street and track use. The filter is fully washable and reusable, designed for long-term service. To protect the intake charge, a sturdy 18-gauge steel wrinkle-black powder-coated heat shield snaps directly onto the factory lower airbox, shielding the filter from engine heat while utilizing factory mounting points.
- Direct Performance: Dyno-proven gains of up to +24 HP and +23 lbs. x ft. of torque.
- High Flow: Outflows the factory intake by 78% with a measured flow of 570 CFM @ 7" H2O.
