The Airaid MXP Series Air Intake System is engineered for the 2001-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 to maximize airflow while maintaining precise factory calibrations. This system replaces the restrictive OE air box with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) intake tube designed via computer modeling to ensure proper mass air flow (MAF) sensor readings and air-to-fuel ratios. By streamlining the intake path, this CAD-designed system helps improve throttle response and acceleration without requiring an aftermarket ECU re-tune.
The system includes a premium Airaid oiled red filter media, providing high-volume airflow and superior filtration for engine protection. Built for a straightforward installation, the intake features dedicated provisions for the factory MAF sensor, inlet air temperature (IAT) sensor, and crankcase vent tube.
