The Airaid Cold Air Dam (CAD) intake system is designed to significantly increase airflow to your V8 engine by replacing the restrictive factory air box and intake tract. Unlike standard open-element filters, the CAD system utilizes custom-formed panels that mount to the factory air box location. These panels, combined with blade-style weather stripping that seals against the hood, create a dedicated cool-air chamber that isolates the filter from radiant engine heat.

This system includes a low-restriction, mandrel-bent intake tube to streamline airflow into the throttle body. At the heart of the kit is a 360-degree conical Airaid SynthaMax dry air filter. This red, oil-free synthetic media provides superior filtration and is fully washable and reusable, eliminating the need for replacement filters. Installation is straightforward, utilizing factory mounting points and requiring only common hand tools.
