The ARB Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs (EL122RA) are engineered to provide superior ride performance and load-carrying capacity for the first-generation Tacoma. Designed as a medium-load solution, these springs balance daily driver comfort with the durability needed for recreational off-roading and commercial use. For optimal handling, these springs are designed to work as part of an integrated system when paired with OME 4x4 shock absorbers.
- Military Wrap: Provides an additional safety layer by wrapping the leaf end around the spring eye.
- Two-Stage Leaf Pack: Delivers unladen ride comfort while providing necessary support under heavier loads.
- Shot Peened & Scragged: Manufacturing processes that reduce spring stress, increase fatigue life, and prevent sagging.
- Anti-Friction Pads: Re-greasable nylon interleaf pads reduce friction and noise at the leaf tips.
- Flat Axle Seat: Ensures a secure, positive axle mount to minimize spring stress.
- Draw-Tapered Leaves: Precision diamond-cut leaves for improved stress distribution and longevity.
