The Old Man Emu Dakar leaf spring is a core component of ARB’s integrated 4x4 suspension systems. Specifically engineered for the Jeep Cherokee XJ, these Emu Dakar springs are designed to provide optimum ride performance and load-carrying capability regardless of operating conditions. Whether configured for recreational off-roading or commercial use, these springs deliver a vastly improved ride and superior handling when matched with OME shock absorbers.
- Military Wrap Design: Provides added safety by wrapping the leaf around the spring eye.
- Advanced Manufacturing: Shot peened to reduce spring stress and fully scragged to eliminate the risk of sagging over time.
- Two-Stage Leaf Pack: Featured on most rear applications for optimum comfort when unladen and support when carrying heavy loads.
- Friction Reduction: Re-greasable nylon interleaf anti-friction pads reduce friction at the leaf tips, while bolted leaf clamps allow for anti-squeak nylon liners.
- Engineered Leaves: Draw-tapered and diamond-cut leaves ensure stress is distributed properly across the pack.
- Secure Mounting: A flat axle seat area provides a positive, safe axle mount and reduces localized spring stress.
