The ARB Soft Connect Shackle (ARB2018) provides a high-strength, lightweight alternative to traditional steel shackles, prioritizing safety during vehicle recovery. Engineered with CE-certified UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) high-tensile synthetic rope, this shackle is rated for a 14.5T breaking strength and is suitable for vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) up to 3.5T.
The updated design features a braided shield that enhances abrasion resistance and protects the core from cuts during use. Its unique construction allows it to float in water and resist short-term UV radiation, making it highly effective for off-road environments. By acting as a fuse in recovery situations, the soft shackle is designed to break before metal components, reducing the risk of flying projectiles for bystanders and operators.
