Fits Ford 289 and 302 Small Block engines equipped with 7/16-inch cylinder head fasteners.
The ARP 154-4001 Cylinder Head Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for any performance Ford 289 or 302 build. Unlike standard head bolts that twist as they are torqued, these studs are threaded into the block first, allowing the head to be positioned accurately. This ensures the fastener is stretched only on its vertical axis, providing much more consistent and accurate clamping force across the head gasket surface.
By utilizing studs, you protect the internal threads of your engine block from excessive wear during assembly and teardown. This kit features high-strength fasteners and standard hex nuts, providing the clearance and reliability needed for high-compression or street-performance applications.
