The ARP 151-4201 Head Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for any engine builder looking to ensure maximum cylinder head sealing on the Ford 2.0L Pinto powerplant. Unlike factory head bolts that can stretch or twist during installation, these high-strength studs provide a consistent and accurate clamping force. This is essential for preventing head gasket failure in high-compression or performance applications where combustion pressures exceed stock limits.
Each stud is manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength. To ensure the highest level of fatigue resistance, threads are rolled after heat treatment. This kit comes complete with parallel-ground washers and 12-point nuts to provide a professional finish and uniform load distribution across the cylinder head.
