The ARP 208-4305 Head Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for any D16Y engine build, providing the superior clamping force necessary to prevent cylinder head lifting and head gasket failure. Unlike factory torque-to-yield bolts that stretch during installation and must be discarded after one use, these ARP studs are manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly steel and are reusable. This kit ensures even load distribution across the cylinder head, making it an essential component for both high-mileage refreshes and high-performance turbocharged or high-compression naturally aspirated setups.
