Engineered to handle the extreme cylinder pressures of high-performance 6G72 DOHC builds, the ARP 207-4205 Head Stud Kit is a vital upgrade for anyone moving beyond factory power levels. Unlike standard torque-to-yield head bolts that stretch and weaken with heat cycles, these studs provide a superior, consistent clamping force to keep the cylinder head sealed and prevent head gasket failure under boost or high-load conditions.
Each stud is manufactured to exacting tolerances, with threads rolled after heat-treatment to ensure maximum fatigue strength. The studs facilitate easier cylinder head installation by centering the head and gasket on the block, while the high-strength 12-point nuts and hardened parallel-ground washers ensure even load distribution across the casting.
