The ARP 202-5403 Main Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for high-performance Nissan RB26 engine builds. Designed to provide significantly higher clamping force than factory main bolts, these studs effectively eliminate main cap "walk" and protect the crankshaft and bearings during high-RPM or high-boost operation. By switching from a bolt to a stud, you ensure more accurate torque loading and prevent threads from pulling out of the engine block.
Every fastener in this kit is manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly steel, heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, providing 1000% better fatigue life compared to fasteners with threads rolled before heat treatment. Each kit is completed with hardened parallel-ground washers and high-strength nuts to ensure even load distribution.
