The ARP Rod Bolt Kit (202-6005) is a critical upgrade for any high-performance Nissan SR20 build. As the most highly stressed fastener in the rotating assembly, factory rod bolts are prone to stretching or failure under high-RPM use or increased cylinder pressure. These ARP fasteners are manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly steel and heat-treated to provide superior tensile strength compared to OEM hardware.
Each bolt is thread-rolled after heat treatment, which improves fatigue life by up to ten times compared to bolts threaded before heat treat. This kit provides the clamping force necessary to prevent rod cap shift and maintain connecting rod housing roundness during high-load operation.
