In high-performance 2JZ applications, factory head bolts can stretch under high cylinder pressures, leading to head gasket failure. This ARP kit provides the superior clamping force needed to maintain a proper seal under boost or high-load conditions.
The "Under Cut" design of these studs allows the shank to stretch at the same rate as the threaded portion, ensuring more consistent and uniform clamping force across the cylinder head. Each kit is heat-treated and thread-rolled after heat-treat for maximum fatigue strength.
