Fits select 1974-2010 Chevrolet and GMC K20 and K30 models equipped with the GM 14-bolt rear axle.
Protect your drivetrain from catastrophic trail damage with the Artec Industries Apex Pinion Guard with Bridge (PG1404). The pinion and yoke on the 14-bolt axle are notorious for catching on rocks, leading to bent yokes or damaged seals. This heavy-duty guard provides a sacrificial surface to slide over obstacles while shielding the vulnerable pinion nut and u-joint area.
Unlike standard guards, the Apex series includes an integrated bridge designed to tie the guard directly into the axle housing. This increases structural rigidity and ensures the guard won't deflect under heavy impact. Each unit is laser-cut and CNC-bent for a precise fit on the 10.5-inch 14-bolt housing.
