The ATI Super Damper (ATI918853) provides essential engine protection by neutralizing torsional crankshaft vibrations across the entire RPM range. This lightweight steel harmonic balancer is specifically engineered for high-performance GM LS1 and LS2 engines found in F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) and V-Body (CTS-V) platforms.
Featuring a 3-ring internal design and a 7.425-inch outer diameter, this damper utilizes a 6-bolt hub and a 6/4 groove pulley configuration to maintain correct belt alignment for 6-rib and 4-rib accessory drives. The lightweight steel construction reduces rotational inertia compared to standard steel units, improving throttle response while maintaining the structural integrity required for racing and high-load street use. This unit replaces the factory rubber-bonded balancer with a rebuildable, high-tolerance assembly.
