The AutoMeter Sport-Comp 3991 delivers professional-grade monitoring in a standard 3-3/8 inch in-dash format. This electronic tachometer features an 8,000 RPM range powered by AutoMeter’s patented air-core meter movement. This race-proven technology is engineered for extreme responsiveness, capable of moving the needle from zero to full scale in as little as 333 milliseconds for real-time accuracy during rapid acceleration.
Designed for versatility, the 3991 is compatible with most 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines using 2 to 4 pulse per revolution ignition signals. It integrates with points, electronic, and most 12V high-performance racing ignitions. The rugged internal construction ensures reliability in both 12-volt and 16-volt electrical systems, making it suitable for demanding street and track applications.
