The AWE SwitchPath Cat-Back Exhaust provides a dual-personality soundtrack for the 8Y RS3, engineered specifically to enhance the unique acoustics of the turbocharged 5-cylinder engine. This system is handcrafted from U.S.-sourced T304L stainless steel, utilizing a 3-inch lead-in that transitions to a 2.5-inch single-pass design. The driver-side muffler is precision-tuned for a sophisticated tone, while the valved passenger-side outlet integrates directly with the factory electronics.
By retaining the factory valve behavior, the SwitchPath exhaust obeys ECU commands based on throttle input, engine speed, and your selected Drive mode. This allows for quiet operation during morning commutes and an aggressive, burbling exhaust note when clicking into Dynamic mode. The CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall tubing ensures maximum flow and a perfect bolt-on fit to factory mounting points.
