Heat soak is the primary performance bottleneck for the supercharged 3.0T engine. Whether you are running factory boost or a high-output setup with a modified supercharger pulley, high Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) will cause the ECU to pull timing and reduce power. The AWE Tuning ColdFront Heat Exchanger is engineered to maintain consistent power levels by significantly increasing the cooling capacity of the supercharger's closed-loop system.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory heat exchanger, this unit utilizes a larger frontal area to maximize heat dissipation. To simplify installation and maintenance, AWE engineers integrated a dedicated drain plug and bleed screw. This design allows technicians to purge air from the coolant circuit without specialized external tools, ensuring the system operates at peak efficiency. The unit mounts securely behind the front bumper and grille assemblies for a clean, factory-style installation.
