The Banks Power Ram-Air Intake System (MPN 42249) is engineered to optimize engine efficiency by providing a significant 70% increase in airflow over the factory induction system. Designed with a high-capacity, oversized oiled filter element, this system captures more debris while ensuring the engine breathes easier. The fully enclosed airbox housing isolates the intake from hot, power-robbing under-hood air, resulting in cooler intake temperatures and better combustion.

By increasing the air-fuel ratio, this intake allows the L5P engine to run leaner, which directly reduces soot output and decreases the frequency of DPF regeneration cycles. This system provides a standalone gain of +20 horsepower and can be combined with the Banks Derringer tuner for a total increase of up to +81 horsepower.
