Under high-boost conditions, factory wastegate actuators often suffer from weak spring tension, allowing the valve to blow off the seat prematurely. This exhaust backpressure leak limits midrange torque and softens boost response. The Banks Power BigHead Wastegate Actuator (MPN 24401) is engineered to solve this by providing significantly higher tension and more precise control than the OE component.

With twice the diaphragm area and spring pressure of a stock actuator, the BigHead holds the wastegate seated longer to build boost faster. Once peak boost is reached, the actuator precisely manages the valve position to maintain maximum air density for improved acceleration and heavy-duty towing performance. This unit is designed to bolt directly onto either the factory turbo housing or a Banks upgrade housing.
