The BD Diesel 68RFE Transmission and Converter Package is engineered to handle high horsepower and heavy towing demands that factory units cannot sustain. This performance build features a billet input shaft to eliminate the risk of shaft failure under rapid throttle and high-torque loads. The included BD ProTech68 pressure control module uses a MAP sensor to dynamically ramp up line pressure to 250 psi, ensuring positive clutch engagement. Internal upgrades include BD durable QT100 pressure plates that allow for a 33% increase in clutch counts for both the Overdrive and 2C packs, significantly reducing deflection and distortion.

The package includes a Triple Disc Enhanced Stall Torque Converter, featuring a stamped forged one-piece cover to eliminate warpage from clutch heat. The converter utilizes furnace-brazed turbine fins and a self-centering trapezoid teeth design to maximize fluid coupling efficiency while reducing vibration and wear.
