The BD Diesel Deep Sump Transmission Pan is cast from high-strength aluminum and features external heat-dissipating fins to keep fluid temperatures stable under heavy towing and high-load conditions. By adding 3.5 quarts of extra fluid capacity, this pan provides a larger thermal reserve, meaning your oil takes longer to heat up and stays cooler during operation. The high-rigidity aluminum casting also serves to strengthen the transmission case, helping to prevent twisting and misalignment under high torque. This unit is a direct replacement for OE part number 68214905AA and includes a pre-tapped port for a temperature sending unit.
