Fits select 2014-2020 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, and Yukon.
Debris in the stock transmission cooler bypass valve can cause the internal valve to jam in recirculation mode. When this occurs, the transmission fluid is prevented from reaching the external cooler, causing temperatures to rise rapidly and leading to premature transmission failure. The BD Diesel 1061530 Cooler Bypass Delete replaces the failure-prone factory bypass to ensure 100% fluid flow through the transmission cooler at all times.
Designed for easy installation, this kit eliminates the thermal bypass mechanism, keeping operating temperatures as low as possible during heavy towing or performance driving. This modification is an essential reliability upgrade for any 6L80-equipped GM vehicle operating in demanding conditions.
