Fits 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks.
The factory Allison transmission cooler bypass valve is a documented failure point for heavy-duty GM trucks. Debris in the system can cause the internal valve to jam in recirculation mode, preventing fluid from reaching the cooler. This leads to rapid transmission fluid temperature spikes and potential internal damage. The BD Diesel Cooler Bypass Delete replaces the entire failure-prone factory block with a high-flow unit that ensures 100% transmission fluid flow through the cooler at all times.
Unlike simple plugs, this is a complete replacement block designed to optimize cooling performance during towing and heavy-load operations. It includes all necessary new seals for a leak-free installation.
