The BD Diesel Crank Case Vent Filter Kit is designed to address oil vapor contamination in the intake system of 7.3L Power Stroke engines. In stock configurations, crankcase oil vapor passes through the vent and enters the intake stream, where it coats the turbocharger compressor wheel and intercooler cores. This residue buildup significantly reduces cooling efficiency and leads to the premature deterioration of silicone boots, causing them to balloon or blow off under boost.
This kit captures and filters these vapors before they reach the intake, maintaining the integrity of your charge air system components. Each kit includes all necessary hardware and clamps for a clean, professional installation. The process typically takes approximately two hours and provides long-term protection for your engine's turbocharger and cooling efficiency.
