This universal 4.0-inch exhaust brake is designed for vehicles requiring additional retarding power during heavy towing or downhill descents. Engineered with BD Diesel’s exclusive Variable Orifice Technology, this system provides up to 150 retarding horsepower throughout the entire engine RPM range. Unlike fixed-hole designs, the solid, offset butterfly and pneumatic spring-loaded cylinder maintain consistent pressure regulation for maximum braking efficiency.
Built to withstand the high-heat environment of diesel exhaust, the unit features a rugged cast-iron housing, alumibronze bushings, and a corrosion-resistant stainless steel butterfly shaft. This kit includes a high-performance IP67-rated sealed air compressor and all necessary mounting hardware for installation.
