Fits 1994-1998 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 Base models equipped with the 12-valve Cummins engine and Bosch P7100 injection pump.
The BD Diesel 4000 RPM Governor Spring Kit (MPN: 1040185) is engineered to unlock the potential of your P7100-equipped Cummins. By increasing the governed engine speed to 4000 RPM, this kit significantly improves mid-to-high-end throttle response and enables higher horsepower levels. This upgrade reduces the need for frequent gear shifting during heavy towing or racing applications, ensuring the engine stays in the power band longer.
This modification requires technical expertise. Due to the precision required for Bosch P7100 pump adjustments, installation must be performed by a qualified pump technician to prevent engine damage or poor performance. Note: If you have not already installed 60lb exhaust valve springs, they are required for safe operation at these engine speeds.
